Dining at Acacia House

Acacia House, led by newly appointed Culinary Director Thomas Lents, serves American cuisine based on Napa’s local, seasonal ingredients. The atmosphere in the restored Georgian farmhouse is part of the restaurant’s charm, and an extensive wine list and signature cocktails enhance the experience. Guests can choose a view of the open kitchen while they dine or head to the patio for an al fresco meal.

“I am a fan of starting each meal with a glass of sparkling wine while I consider which dishes to indulge in that day,” said Heidi Miersemann, General Manager of Alila Napa Valley Resort and Spa. “The local Domaine Carneros pairs well with our warm della fattoria epi bread served with our homemade fennel and orange butter. After the holiday season of sweet dishes, right now I’m choosing the salty whole Branzino with artichoke barigoule, and that surprisingly pairs well with a heavier winter red, one of which we are serving now is the Robert Biale zinfandel.”

Refresh your palate with their Signature Margarita

Served in a lovely etched glass coupe, their signature margarita is visually appealing, boasting a delightful, airy texture. “After a day of wine tasting, the break for a cool and crisp cocktail that is the perfect blend of tangy and sweet, with a Mexico City recipe that is hard to find in the US, helps to reduce sugars in your body and relax your mind,” said Miersemann.

Facials include the “Nature” facial, with superfoods like nestle leaf, cranberry seed, and calendula flowers for skin wellness. The “Harmony” facial uses organic chamomile, turmeric, and lavender to detox and restore equilibrium.

Body renewal rituals, designed to restore mind/body balance, include the “Succulent Sugar Scrub and Dry Brush” which finishes with a luxurious body butter and aromas of vanilla and lavender. The “Savor Grape Seed Scrub” taps the powerful antioxidants in grape seeds to delay cellular damage caused by free radicals, ending with locally made Vintner’s Daughter skincare products.

Book a Wine tasting at Beringer Vineyards

Beringer Vineyards welcomes guests (21 years of age or older) to their historic Rhine House for a tasting of their current release reserve wines. Set at a table on the veranda of the 1886 Rhine House, this is an opportunity to savor the atmosphere as well as the wines of the iconic winery.

“We treasure our partnership with Beringer winery, the oldest continuously operating vineyard in Napa Valley, with a strong family history of winemaking,” said Miersemann. “They have replanted their Napa vineyards with some well rounded varietals that go very well with our resort dining options. Guests can even bring a bottle from Beringer into Acacia House on certain days of the week for complimentary corkage, and our VIP guests also receive two for one tastings of the luxury wines selected by Beringer.”

Guests of Alila Napa Valley have access to the grounds for walks, and for tastings. They partner with Beringer on several very exclusive experiences including one that includes tasting wines produced in different years while overlooking the vineyard the grapes were harvested from.

A stay at Alila Napa Valley is a unique experience that can be tailored to meet the needs and interests of every guest. Whether the goal is wine tasting, dining, wellness and renewal, a relaxing getaway, or a romantic weekend, Alila Napa Valley is the perfect setting.
