Airports near Sonoma County and Napa Valley

For those traveling from far and wide, there are many airports to touchdown on when visiting Wine Country, including:

  • San Francisco International Airport (SFO) 

Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and make a stop and the look out point for a photo op! And, maybe you would like a little walk in the redwoods, with a stop at the famous Muir Woods!

  • Oakland International Airport (OAK)

Hwy 80 has some great stops along the way, HIGHLY recommend The Dead Fish, for lunch!

  • Sacramento International Airport (SMF)

Stop at the Nut Tree Shopping center, for some great shopping! Stop in Old Town Sacramento and visit our State Capital! 

  • Sonoma County Airport (STS)

This historical Location, known as the Charles M. Schultz airport has snoopy and Charlie brown ready for photos! Maybe a little jaunt over to Russian River or Armstrong woods will scratch your nature itch. The gorgeous vineyard views will be all around you as you land!

These airports provide the perfect travel solution when traveling long distances and will have travel options for the next step of your wine tasting journey. 

The San Francisco Bay Ferry

Are you more of an avid seafarer?

Then the San Francisco Ferry is for you. Traveling to both Sonoma County and Napa Valley, the ferry provides a beautiful, scenic route for part of your journey. This will take you to Vallejo or Larkspur, where you can continue on to Napa or Sonoma.
