About Poetry Inn

Designed for Cliff Lede by renowned architect Howard Backen, the Poetry Inn opened in 2005. Lede had founded his winery a few years earlier and named the hillside vineyard the “Poetry Vineyard,” hence the name of the Inn.

The current interior decor is the work of Erin Martin Design who reimagined the spaces in 2021, creating the sophisticated yet cozy style enjoyed by guests today.

Interesting and tasteful touches are everywhere, from the original art, much from the collection of Cliff Lede, to fresh flowers, poetry books, an antique typewriter, and a guest book filled with glowing handwritten notes detailing romantic and relaxing stays at the Inn.
