Honorees
This year’s SCWA Honorary Chairs are James Hall and Anne Moses, founders of Patz & Hall. Celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, the winery was established by Hall and Moses along with Donald and Heather Patz.
Head Winemaker James Hall has crafted every vintage of Patz & Hall since 1988 while building lasting relationships with renowned growers throughout California.
Anne Moses, a gifted enologist, was the winery’s president from 1988 until 2005, and she currently serves on the Sonoma County Vintners board of directors.

The 2023 Vintner Honorees, Stuart Bryan and Pride Mountain Vineyards, are long-time supporters of the Sonoma County Wine Auction. Founded in 1990 by Jim and Carolyn Pride, the winery has been owned by their children, Suzanne Pride Bryan and Steve Pride, since 2004.
In his role as Vintner Ambassador, Stuart travels extensively to further the winery’s philanthropic efforts. He has served two terms on the Sonoma County Vintners board of directors.

Duskie Estes, owner of Black Pig Meat Co. and Executive Director of Farm to Pantry, is the 2023 Chef Honoree. For nearly two decades, Estes and her husband John Stewart were chef proprietors of award-winning ZAZU Kitchen+Farm, rated as a Top 50 Bay Area restaurant by San Francisco Magazine and included in the San Francisco Michelin Guide.
They now operate their food truck, The Black Piglet, in addition to Black Pig Meat Co. Duskie serves as Executive Director of Farm to Pantry, dedicated to “rescuing food that would otherwise go wasted and getting it to people in need,” according to Duskie on the organization’s website.

“We look forward to bringing our Sonoma County community back together again to raise funds for the local nonprofits who continue to provide critical services and emergency aid to those who are most in need,” said Michael Haney, Executive Director of Sonoma County Vintners Foundation.
An exciting event for wine collectors and guests, the Sonoma County Wine Auction brings visitors to experience the beauty of Sonoma County while having a positive effect on the community.
