Bacchus Landing in Healdsburg: Everything You Need to Know
Come taste the wines from their curated collective of wineries.
Sonoma County residents Monica and Francisco Lopez, along with their parents Al and Dina, developed the concept for Bacchus Landing in 2015 with the goal of showcasing the region’s boutique wineries in an atmosphere that reflects their family’s deep-seated passion for hospitality and family gatherings.
The Lopez family also founded Aldina Vineyards, a Sonoma County-based wine label focused on premium Cabernet Sauvignon.
As a family who live and work in the community, Bacchus Landing represents the Lopez family’s vision to offer many of the things most beloved by Healdsburg locals and visitors alike all in one location. We interview Monica Lopez, Bacchus Landing Co-Owner and General Manager to learn more.
How did Bacchus Landing Begin?
Monica Lopez: As Healdsburg continues to grow and change, our family recognized that small, boutique wineries like our own – Aldina Vineyards – needed better access to both locals and visitors. This inspired us to create a unique concept for a premier wine tasting collective that brings together an eclectic variety of boutique and local businesses for everyone to enjoy.
Bacchus Landing is special because we brought to life the idea of ‘one location for all of your wine tasting needs in one day.’ Our message is to support efficiency so you don’t have to find an Uber (or multiple Ubers) in wine country, which can be difficult, especially with other industry events taking place.
Our hospitality is inviting and casual while still offering an elevated experience and upscale comfort.

Tell us about unique opportunities to experience wine, food, and culture at Bacchus Landing in the bustling heart of Healdsburg.
Monica Lopez: The wide selection of tasting rooms and space makes Bacchus Landing the ultimate destination for groups of any size.
At the property, tasting experiences from our winery partners are available at The Setting, AldenAlli, Aldina Vineyards, 13th & Third Wines, Dot Wines, Montagne Russe, and Smith Story Cellars. Outside of wine tasting, guests can enjoy:
● ‘Frank’s Place’ – Soak up the sun in the large area by the bocce courts
● Bocce Ball Courts – Play a round of bocce
● The Piazza – Hang out with your pod in the expansive centerpiece of the property
● Terrace – Enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the piazza and vineyards below
● On-Premise Market – Pop in and grab fresh snacks, cheese and charcuterie boards, sandwiches and salads to go
● Vineyard – Explore the fruit out front!

What wines do you offer visitors?
Monica Lopez: Bacchus Landing offers a broad spectrum of wines to transport guests across wine country all in one location.
All seven boutique wineries on the property are dedicated to providing you with a personal tasting experience, by-the-glass offerings, and on or off-premise consumption bottle sales during all events and regular business hours. Single-vineyard Cabernet, Rose, Sparkling, Pinot Noir, and everything in between is available to sip, savor and spend the day in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

Favorite Food and Wine Pairing?
Monica Lopez: My go-to recipe is short ribs with Cabernet Sauvignon. The Half Baked Harvest Short Rib recipe is wonderful, a family favorite and a crowd-pleaser. It is perfect for the 2018 Aldina Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon.
