Events

Comstock also features special events throughout the year such as wine bottle decorating sessions, and festive holiday pairings. In addition, the winery hosts several winemaker hosted lunches and dinners throughout the year, including a fall Harvest Cellar Tour and lunch.

These creative pairings help to showcase Russi’s delicious wines, each of which highlights his understanding of the varying Sonoma County appellations. His small-lot, handcrafted varietals are quality representations of regional uniqueness, illustrative of the Comstock family’s fundamental passion to grow and source only the best Sonoma County grapes.

History

Founders Sandy and Bob Comstock began growing grapes in Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley in 2002, yet it would be ten years before they purchased a site for their own winery. In 2012 they found an ideal 17 acre vineyard, and for three years, they sculpted the land and designed their visitor center.

The winery opened in 2015 with Sandy and Bob’s daughter Kelly Comstock Ferris at the helm as general manager.

Much more than a figurehead, Kelly is at the winery daily, welcoming guests and winery club members and sharing her enthusiasm for her family’s wines and for the region.

One of Comstock’s greatest attributes is The Residence; the winery’s farmhouse estate manor, located within the vineyards and available for whole home rental.

The spacious Residence features an expansive great room, gourmet kitchen, media room, and four primary suites—three with king beds and one with two queens. In addition to large bathrooms with deep soaking tubs, double sinks, and decadent Le Labo products, each suite has its own fireplace and French doors leading to a furnished veranda.

The large, coastal range-facing patio features a firepit, hot tub, and chaise lounges. The Residence is available to Comstock wine club members and members of travel club Inspirato.

With its Bordeaux, Burgundian, and Rhone varietal offerings, Comstock offers a great representation of what Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley is capable. Stellar food pairings, bucolic vineyard and mountain views, and a welcoming team enhance every visit.
