4 Favorite Getaways in Fabulous Yountville

By Published On: March 20th, 2022

Luxe grace notes abound at exclusive Napa Valley town's best hotels and inns.

Yountville’s restaurants catapulted this exclusive Napa Valley town to international fame, but its lodging scene shines just as bright. The sky’s nearly the limit when it comes to prices, but even at the low end, luxe grace notes abound. Below are four favorite getaways in fabulous Yountville, two with sister properties that make excellent alternatives.

Pure Poetry

Amid a hillside vineyard facing west toward downtown, the five-suite Poetry Inn is the quintessential Wine Country luxury retreat. Eclectic decor by internationally acclaimed local designer Erin Martin adds contemporary pizzazz (the equally distinguished Howard Backen designed the structure), but the understated service is Euro smooth.

Eco Luxury

A spa-oriented 65-room luxury resort whose mountain-view rooftop lap pool is heaven in summer, Bardessono prides itself on the eco-sensitive practices that for a decade have earned the hotel coveted LEED Platinum status. All the accommodations are configured for in-room spa treatments; three secluded villa suites deliver the ultimate in comfort, a home away from home you’ll wish was home. If Bardessono’s booked up, try the affiliated 80-room Hotel Yountville spa resort a few blocks away.

In-Town Rustic Vibe

Although right in town, the 20-room North Block Hotel retains a rustic vibe thanks to its verdant Tuscan-style central courtyard. The rooms, painted in soothing shades and furnished in hip contemporary style, have spacious bathrooms. The hotel’s North Block Restaurant is a must-do for locals and visitors.

Provençal Touches

An 1860s home anchors Lavender, a bed-and-breakfast steps from The French Laundry restaurant. Rooms in the main house are compact and cozy, but six courtyard accommodations in newer structures—plus a barnlike loft suite—are the ones to seek out for their updated Provençal touches and roomy bathrooms. A few blocks away, across from Bardessono, sister property Maison Fleurie is a good option when Lavender is full.
