Guy Fieri’s Chefs for Maui Benefit Raises More Than $1.5 Million for Maui Wildfire Relief
Celebrities and chefs show their generosity and care for the Maui community
This “once in a lifetime culinary experience” was no exaggeration as Guy Fieri gathered 38 of his chef friends Saturday, October 21st to support relief efforts on Maui. Responding to Fieri’s call were famed chefs including Ming Tsai, Brooke Williamson, Michael Voltaggio, Dustin Valette, Marc Murphy, Michael Mina and others who created an 18-course dinner for guests.
Not surprisingly, the $2500 tickets sold out quickly, and the day showcased the best in cuisine and commitment.
Held at a private estate in Sonoma County, the event included music, dancing, premium wines, auction items and delicious food. Making the day—and evening—even more significant, the proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division and Food Service Workers of Maui, according to Fieri.
Chefs weren’t the only celebrities to show up at the Chefs for Maui” Benefit. Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan helped man the grill, serving up huge tomahawk steaks from his 6666 Ranch. The menu also included kanpachi poke, porcini mushroom soup, and specialties from each of the chefs.

The NBA Golden State Warriors’ “Hype Man,” Franco Finn lent his familiar voice to serve as auctioneer, entertaining and adding to the fundraising goal.
One of the top auction items featured an exclusive dinner prepared by Chef Dustin Valette and Hollywood actor, director and writer Tay Sheridan, was auctioned off for $363,000.
The festivities continued in Healdsburg at Chef Dustin Valette’s must-visit Sonoma County restaurant, The Matheson, with an After Party. The party featured a rooftop DJ, live music on the mezzanine by Grammy nominated artist Willie Jordan, dancing, signature cocktails, Valette wines, beers, ciders, and Maui-inspired culinary bites.

The chefs, and celebrity guests enjoyed the restaurant’s heated rooftop fire pits, the VIP mezzanine, the main bar, and the dining room. During after party, co-host Guy Fieri made multiple toasts to thank all who came together to support a common cause and to thank Chef Dustin Valette and The Matheson for hosting the night.
Always one to keep the party going, Fieri also rounded up the chefs and guests to take a shot together at the bar, pouring shots of his signature tequila Santo and toasting to the group. The proceeds from The Matheson’s After Party will also benefit Guy Fieri’s Maui fundraising cause.

“I was absolutely thrilled to help support this heartwarming event that means the world to me and my family, said Chef Dustin Valette, owner of The Matheson, Valette and Valette Wines in Healdsburg. “My wife and I got married in Maui. This event was incredibly special as it showcased exceptional chefs including Guy Fieri himself. We all stood together in solidarity to help recovery efforts and spread the love for Maui!”
