Michelin Star-Musts:
SingleThread: The only California restaurant to make this year’s World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, the triple-Michelin-starred SingleThread is led by Chef Kyle Connaughton and wife/Head Farmer Katina Connaughton. Offering an 11-course tasting menu showcasing seasonal bounty from the couple’s farm, the wildly creative and sustainability-focused restaurant remains the only restaurant in Sonoma County to win this honor.
Barndiva: A Healdsburg favorite for 17 years known for its stunning garden terrace and stellar Wine Country cuisine, Barndiva is a farm-to-fork American eatery in a stylish, barnlike space. Conceived by Chef Jordan Rosas, the menu is sourced from nearby farms, ranches and waters, paired with a thoughtful list of spirits and wine.

New Kids in Town:
The Matheson: A new restaurant from Chef and vintner Dustin Valette and partner Craig Ramsey, The Matheson is a tri-level modern restaurant and rooftop bar offering farm-focused dishes, a sushi kitchen and a Wine Wall with 88 wines on tap. Visitors can indulge in Wagyu Beef Short Ribs in the main dining room and Truffle & Mushroom pizza on The Rooftop.

Little Saint: The recently opened plant-based restaurant, Little Saint, features a full-service restaurant and bar with a “closed-loop cocktail menu,” quick-service cafe and wine shop with an à la carte menu inspired by the seasonal bounty of the Sonoma Valley. Foodies can enjoy Strawberry Gazpacho with lavender and almond cream and Cauliflower Biryani with Basmati rice, picked raisins and rose.

Don’t Forget About the Classics:
Dry Creek Kitchen: For over a decade, Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen has served elevated American cooking and world-class bottlings with the intimate charm of a small-town hospitality. Diners can enjoy a select five-course tasting menu or prix fixe dinners, with their choice of appetizer, main course and dessert.

Valette: A dream between two brothers, Valette is a restaurant that provides a canvass for Sonoma County farmers, winemakers and artisans to showcase their craft. Valette serves delectable cuisine with seasonal flare paired with craft cocktails and various wines include Valette wine. Guests can enjoy duroc porchetta, heirloom melon gazpacho, togarashi crusted duck breast and Meyer lemon panna cotta, just to name a few.

Baci Café & Wine Bar: The family-owned restaurant and wine bar, Baci Café & Wine Bar has been a local favorite for 12 years. The restaurant has also been awarded Open Table’s Diners’ Choice Winner for eight consecutive years. Baci serves Italian favorites in the heart of Wine Country, from orecchiette con broccolini and angnolotti d’ aragosta to ossobuco and vitello saltimbocca.
European Flare:
Costeaux French Bakery: A piece of Paris in California wine country, Costeaux French Bakery has been family-owned and serving guests artisan breads, French café classics and signature desserts since1923. Costeaux French Bakery remains a treasured local gem in downtown Healdsburg for breakfast, brunch and lunch, serving authentic pastries such as their famous cinnamon walnut bread.

Bravas Bar de Tapas: Bringing traditional Spanish and modern tapas-style dining to Healdsburg, Bravas Bar de Tapas offers favorites including sangria, patatas bravas, paella and more. James Beard Outstanding Restaurateur semifinalists Mark and Terri Stark introduced the restaurant in 2012 and it has been a local favorite since.

Morning Delights:
Black Oak Coffee Roasters: Located in a remodeled historic building downtown, Black Oak Coffee Roasters has earned the two-time title of “America’s Best Espresso” from North America’s largest coffee roasting competition. The beverage menu features house-made signature drinks like the Lover’s Lane Latte, a honey latte garnished with local bee pollen to start the day on the right foot.

Quail & Condor: A farmers’ market-born operation turned brick-and-mortar artisan bakery destination, Quail & Condor serves homemade breads, croissants, pastries and more, and is the perfect place to visit before you start your day. Make sure to try the kouign amann, buckwheat and chocolate croissant and babka, or pick up a coffee fresh-made bread to take home with you. Quail & Condor’s Chef and Co-Owner, Melissa Yanc, was the Season 6 winner of Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship.

Sweet Tooth Faves:
Noble Folk Ice Cream & Pie Bar: Scooping creative ice cream flavors including Blood Orange Raspberry and Triple Berry Pie, and pastries such as Maple Chocolate Walnut Pie and Meyer Lemon Olive Oil Cupcakes, Noble Folk has something sweet for everyone after a day of dining.

Downtown Bakery & Creamery: Located in the heart of Healdsburg across the way from the Plaza, Downtown Bakery & Creamery will sweeten your day with handcrafted desserts and pastries. Seasonal treats include pavlova with a lemon mouse, strawberry shortcake, almond tart and marjolaine.
