Food and Wine
Estate Chef Maria Lynn offers a menu of curated yet casual bites that are the perfect pairings for Anaba’s wines. From weekend “brunch boards” to wood-fired pizzas, each dish reflects the winery’s dedication to creating enjoyable moments.

Anaba Wines is just 35 minutes north of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and is inspired by founder John Sweazey’s cherished memories of the warm reception he experienced during his numerous visits to the French wine regions in the 1970s. Anaba has created an environment where winemaking, hospitality and family traditions seamlessly intertwine and offer visitors an experience that’s easy to return to.
Located at the gateway to the celebrated Carneros region of the Sonoma Valley, Anaba Wines is a testament to the diverse viticulture there. Unique microclimates, characterized by the invigorating cool Pacific anabatic breezes, create an ideal environment for alternative Rhône Valley grape varieties to flourish. Among these, Picpoul Blanc—whose name charmingly translates to “sting the lip” in French—finds its true expression. A relatively rare grape in California, with less than 50 acres planted, Anaba proudly holds three. Despite its limited acreage, it is gaining recognition for producing lively white wines that offer mouthwatering acidity.
Picpoul Blanc
Anaba’s 2024 Picpoul Blanc (SRP $38) is an example of this varietal, showcasing a vibrant and racy edge that is perfectly suited for warm-weather enjoyment. Imagine savoring this crisp and refreshing white wine while relaxing at Anaba’s one-of-a-kind Picpoul Patio overlooking the Picpoul vineyard.

Or, for those who enjoy a bit of friendly competition, the adjacent Courtside Pavilion offers the perfect setting to unwind with a glass of Picpoul Blanc after a lively game on the Anaba’s very own Pickleball Court.

Known for working with Rhône varieties, Picpoul Blanc is included in Anaba’s flagship Turbine White (SRP $38) blend, which features Picpoul Blanc alongside Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier, further showcasing its dedication to these expressive grape varieties.
