The Wines of Silver Oak
Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, the product of grapes from several Napa Valley vineyards, represents the diversity of the valley’s soil, microclimates, and geography. Aged for 24 months in barrel and up to 24 months in bottle, the wine exhibit “ultra-classic notes of cassis and blackberry.”
Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from grapes grown in Sonoma County vineyards. Aged in both new and used American oak barrels for 24 months and 18 months in bottle, the wine “displays more savory aromas when compared to the ripe, opulent notes characteristic of the warmer Napa Valley.”
Sustainability and Farming
Silver Oak’s grapes are grown in a variety of vineyards encompassing more than 400 acres in the Napa and Alexander Valleys. Their commitment to sustainability is based on appreciation of natural resources as well as the effect of responsible farming on the quality of their wines.
The Silver Oak wineries in both Napa Valley and Alexander Valley are LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum Certified, and in 2020, the Healdsburg facility became a certified Living Building.
Silver Oak employs the latest technologies to manage water use, irrigation, and energy efficiency, including solar panels, LED lighting, and EV charging stations. The construction of wineries in Oakville and Healdsburg made use of salvaged and reclaimed building materials, and care was taken to eliminate harmful chemicals in paint, flooring, and furnishings.
