Stanly Ranch, Auberge Resorts Collection

The cottages, suites, and spacious villas at Stanly Ranch are the perfect Napa Valley home away from home. The property began as a ranch, founded in 1856 by Judge Edward Stanly, and its rustic origins combine seamlessly with modern conveniences. The resort, a working vineyard and farm, is located just minutes from downtown Napa and the valley’s wineries, and Stanly Ranch guests have access to a range of onsite activities to round out their wine country itineraries. 

Set on more than 700 acres, the resort offers a spa, fitness studio, three dining venues, heated pools, cabanas, concierge, and house car for guests’ convenience. Families are welcome, and the standalone accommodations provide privacy and the ability to combine rooms for groups. 

Accommodations

At Stanly Ranch, accommodations range from guest rooms to cottages and multi-bedroom villas. Details like fire pits, outdoor showers, and private terraces with views of the Mayacamas Mountains create an inviting rustic style, with quality amenities for the ultimate in comfort.

Guest Rooms

The Arbor Cottages are 34 modern, standalone farmhouse cottages. The Deluxe Arbor Cottages are free-standing rooms with 610 square feet of space, king beds, an open concept living area, and private terraces with daybeds and fire pits. Bathrooms feature free standing soaking tubs and indoor showers that open to a private outdoor shower. Arbor Cottages with two double beds are available.

The 488 square foot Rambler Two Queen Room, located in The Rambler House, includes terrace space with a fire pit and furniture for lounging and dining. The bathroom shower opens to a private outdoor shower in its own garden area. 

The ACRE Family Two Room offers an option for families or groups who wish to share adjoining rooms. A separate king bed room and a room with two double beds can accommodate up to four people, with private terraces, lounge space, and indoor showers with separate water closets.

Suites

The 976 square foot Rambler One Bedroom King Suite is a spacious two-room suite with a dual fireplace that can be enjoyed in both the living room and bedroom, a large private terrace with a fire pit, and a separate living room, wet bar, and dining table for four. The bathroom includes a free standing soaking tub, indoor shower, and an outdoor shower in a private garden.

Rambler Two Bedroom Suites are offered with one king bedroom and one with two queen beds or with king beds in both bedrooms. Both feature 1,464 square feet of space, a large living room with dining table and wet bar that opens to an expansive furnished patio with a dining area and fire pit. The large king bedrooms include a fireplace, doors that open to a terrace, and a bathroom with a private outdoor garden shower. The second bedrooms offer a separate terrace with a private outdoor shower.

The Three Bedroom Palomino Suite features two king bedrooms and a double queen room, each with a seating area, private terrace, and large living room, a wet bar, two dining areas, and a fireplace.

An outdoor living area offers seating, dining, and a fire pit. Stanly Ranch’s largest at 2,928 square feet, the suite includes a private outdoor garden shower, free standing soaking tubs in each bathroom, and separate water closets.

Villas

Ideal for extended stays, families, or groups, Stanly Ranch villas combine privacy, comfort, and luxury amenities. Guests are welcomed with two bottles of wine or alcohol and a Ranch Grazing Board as well as a stocked pantry, snacks, and daily homemade pastries. Board games, family-friendly movies, and onsite experiences are provided, and guests have complimentary access to a Mercedes-Benz.

The Lavender Two Bedroom Sky Villas offer two levels for a total of 2,590 square feet (1,725 indoors) with two bedrooms on the second floor, one king room and one with two queen beds. The full gourmet kitchens include a wine fridge, and there’s an outdoor kitchen with grill, refrigerator, wine cooler, sink, and cabinets. For guests’ convenience, the villa includes a washer and dryer.

The Lavender Two Bedroom Terrace Villas are located on the ground floor, with outdoor bathtubs, fireplace, and lounge areas. With a total of 3,126 square feet (1,725 indoors), the spacious villas feature one king bedroom and one with two queen beds, with an outdoor shower and bath off the primary bedroom. Furnishings and amenities are similar to the Two Bedroom Sky Villas. 

Residences

Fully furnished, two bedroom vacation homes are available to own at Stanly Ranch. In addition, three to six bedroom private residences, set among vineyards, range from 5,800 to 8,950 square feet. Owners have access to all resort experiences and amenities, and they may participate in the resort’s rental program, making their homes available to resort guests on a nightly basis when not in use. 

Dining at Stanly Ranch

Bear is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, with a menu inspired by seasonal, locally grown ingredients. Guests can dine indoors, enjoying the view through expansive windows, or outdoors on the large terrace overlooking the pool. 

Basin Bar, located adjacent to the Lavender pool, features a menu of light dishes, craft cocktails, and wine. Basin Bar is open Wednesday – Sunday from 11 am – 5 pm (bar is open until 6 pm)

Gavel, open daily from 7 am – 3:30 pm, offers coffee, freshly baked pastries, picnic items, and handcrafts by local Bay Area artisans.

In-room dining is available with breakfast from 7 am – 11 am and all-day dining from 11 am – 10 pm.

Wellness at Stanly Ranch

Halehouse, Springhouse, and Fieldhouse wellness programs combine traditional spa services, fitness activities, and a range of facilities for guests to choose for improving sleep, hydration, mindfulness, and recovery with target treatments.

At Springhouse, techniques using heat, cold, steam, and micro salts are available with advance reservations. There’s a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, cold plunge bath, tepidarium, salt therapy, cedar dry heat sauna, and steam room.

Halehouse Spa offerings include therapeutic bodywork, classic massage, couples massage, pre and post natal massage as well as a variety of facials.

At the Fieldhouse Movement Studio, guests can choose daily movement classes, yoga, pilates, HIIT, or personal training. There’s an option to undergo a fitness assessment and receive functional training and performance coaching.

Tequila Tasting is a guided tasting experience for guests who want to explore the history and flavors of tequila. The tasting includes Blancos, reposados, and Añejos along with light bites to savor between each sip.

Perfect for a wine country vacation, guests can explore the wines of Napa and Sonoma with a tasting of wines from favorite producers, covering their origins and the winemaking process.

Guests can experience a hands-on falconry demonstration, a great opportunity to learn about these birds of prey.

A hands-on pasta making class takes guests through the entire process, including preparation of a homemade sauce and tasting with a glass of wine.

Pickleball fans can enjoy a game at nearby Charsaw Farms, a local lavender farm, with a lesson followed by homemade lavender treats.

Every Friday on the Great Lawn, guests can enjoy stargazing with specialty drinks and treats as they enjoy the night sky and get a close look through the lens of a power telescope.

Seasonal activities include trips to the Carneros market, watercolor workshops with brunch, fishing on the Napa River, gardening demonstrations/tours, a picnic cruise along the Napa River, hot air balloon rides, and farm tours.

For young guests (ages 4 and over plus younger children if accompanied by a parent), Little Ranchers Camp is a half-day camp engaging children with Mother Nature through crafts and exploration.
