Live auction included dozens of incredible lots up for bid.
Cheers to the incredible success of this year’s V Foundation Wine Celebration held in Napa Valley, August 3-6. With the support of more than 600 guests, this top-rated cancer research charity raised a record-breaking $21 million. These funds support innovative ideas and groundbreaking advancements in cancer research.
The event, hosted by Mike “Coach K” Krzyzewski, former Head Coach of Duke University Men’s Basketball and V Foundation Board Member, was a weekend full of entertainment and education. From Dinner with the Docs to the Rock the V party, attendees were treated to a variety of engaging activities. The Answer for Cancer Symposium, Gala Dinner & Auction and more, all ensured that the legacy of Jim Valvano’s Don’t Give Up…Don’t Ever Give Up!® was honored.
“Dr. Seuss said it best, my heart grew three times last night. Our entire community showed up to deliver on what Jimmy asked of us. We laughed, thought, and cried, and we hit an unbelievable number of $21 million. We can double down on cancer research and in our second half of this game, we are going to win,” said event co-chair Amy Marks Dornbusch. “There isn’t a single partner, donor, volunteer, performer, chef or first-timer who doesn’t feel the overwhelming emotion of what we do here, and the future has never looked brighter.”
The V Foundation Wine Celebration has now raised over $158 million to date.
I am excited to share some memorable event photos with you. These pictures capture a successful mission and are a testament to supporters’ unwavering dedication and generosity in the fight against cancer.
