Current Miljenko’s Selection Wines
2023 Miljenko’s Selection Chardonnay
Grgich Hills Estate Co-founder, famed King of Chardonnay, Miljenko “Mike” Grgich, always favored Chardonnays unaltered by malolactic fermentation, a characteristic embodied in this wine. Light and bright, their ebullient 2023 Miljenko’s Selection Chardonnay sets the stage with aromas of fresh lemon, lime, and passion fruit. Vibrant flavors of Kaffir lime, ginger, lemon verbena, and a hint of thyme are star players in the show that this wine is eager to display. In supporting roles, bracing acidity, abundant minerality, and juiciness lead to a long and satisfying finale that lingers.

2021 Miljenko’s Selection Skin-Fermented Sauvignon Blanc
The 2021 Miljenko’s Selection Skin-Fermented Sauvignon Blanc was crafted with grapes sourced primarily from their American Canyon vineyard, balanced with grapes from their Carneros vineyard. Located in the southern tip of Napa Valley near San Francisco Bay, these cool climates and stronger winds delay ripening and ensure excellent acidity, yielding a crisp and lively wine. The clay soil retains water, giving them the ability to dry-farm them and yielding higher quality, concentrated fruit. These factors create an elegant, aromatic wine.

2019 Miljenko’s Selection Petite Sirah
The 2019 Miljenko’s Selection Petite Sirah begins with aromas of rich cassis, black cherry, blackberry, and hints of sage, dark chocolate, tobacco and lilac. The wine exhibits flavors of cherries, blackberries and cocoa, with a touch of soft vanilla and Earl Grey tea. The finish is rich and smooth with layers of fruit and a long and lingering finish.
2021 Miljenko’s Selection Petit Verdot
The 2021 Miljenko’s Selection Petit Verdot opens with aromas of blackberry, cassis, black cherry and blueberry followed by undertones of sage and sandalwood. The wine has flavors of dark berry fruit, with a hint of dark chocolate and lavender, all supported by soft textured tannins leading to a very long silky finish.

2021 Miljenko’s Selection Cabernet Franc
The 2021 Miljenko’s Selection Cabernet Franc opens with aromas reminiscent of a summer meadow-ripe mixed berries, violets, and hints of cloves. Mouthwatering flavors of blackberries, lingonberries, and hints of sage are uplifted by refreshingly dense and chewy tannins on the palate. The finish, long and soft with a lingering aftertaste, evokes the feeling of contentment one would enjoy after a long, sun-filled midsummer day.
2015 Miljenko’s Selection Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2015 Miljenko’s Selection is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and demonstrates the distinctive finesse and bright flavors of the famed “Rutherford Dust.” To capture the fruit’s wonderful aromas and structure, Grgich Hills Estate fermented the grapes with indigenous yeast at moderate temperatures that allow the wine to gain flavors and color from extended skin contact. After blending, the wine spent another year and a half in barrel to completely harmonize the flavors before bottling. The wine has delightful aromas of black cherry, ripe plum and red roses that are complemented by hints of cinnamon. Pair with roasted lamb, top sirloin or Cabernet-laced beef stew.
