Crossing the 50-year milestone, V. Sattui Winery unveils its newly renovated Mercato del Gusto (Taste of the Market). The project reflects a commitment to elevating guest hospitality while honoring a rich Italian heritage.

Founded originally in San Francisco in 1885 by Vittorio Sattui, the winery’s legacy was interrupted by Prohibition before being revived nearly 90 years later by great-grandson Dario Sattui, who established V. Sattui Winery in Napa Valley in 1975. Over the past five decades, the estate has become one of the region’s most recognized and welcoming destinations.

The newly reimagined Mercato del Gusto represents a significant investment in the property and introduces improved accessibility, expanded landscaping, and enhanced culinary and wine experiences. The seasonal deli menu offers panini, pastas, salads, and house-made desserts such as tiramisu, fruit tarts, and signature gelato and sorbetto.

A highlight of the new Mercato is its expanded cheese and charcuterie program. With over 250 cheeses from around the world and a rich selection of premium salumi, including specialties house-cured in the estate’s own salumeria, guests can discover inspired food and wine pairings that celebrate flavor and craftsmanship.

Grounded in a commitment to accessible hospitality, V. Sattui invites guests to enjoy a complimentary Three Wine Flight, offered every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This guided tasting features a curated selection from its portfolio.

When it comes to design, every detail of the Mercato del Gusto was crafted to enhance the guest experience. The reimagined space features a 26-foot refrigerated cheese wall, Italian deli and cheese cases, a central grab-and-go island, and an expanded wine shop filled with gifts, gourmet finds, and exclusive Napa Valley wines.
